One of the black locust trees in the front yard blew over and blocked half of Bridgewater Drive between 4-5:30 p.m. today. I used a bow saw to remove the branches that were blocking the driving lane. (No longer have a chain saw; tree service will come tomorrow). It was a tall but leaning tree. I wasn't surprised it toppled. We'll miss the aromatic blooms (similar to wisteria), but not the long brown pods that will drop and litter the yard this fall.
